once you created a reservation it automatically receives new status the moment you save it this and all the consequent statuses are changed according to a reservation lifetime to help us understand on which stage of processing it is now and which actions should be taken raservation status can be changed manually in the reservation details at any time, but in this article we will highlight the meaning and purpose of each reservation status • new set automatiacally by the system when the reservation is created • expired set automatiacally by the system if no payment was received before the payment due date ended • pending set automatiacally by the system if there is open invoice for this reservation and the payment request has been sent to the customer • prepaid set automatiacally by the system if the sum of payments received for this reservation is more or equal to the prepayment amount but less than total price • confirmed set automatiacally by the system if the total price was wapyed online or manually if the total price was payed with cash • completed set manually to confirm that the reservation was successfully completed • cancelled set manually to marks that the reservation is no longer relevant • refunded set automatiacally by the system if the credit note was created for this reservation or manually if the refund was performed with cash to learn more about the payment related statuses, please see our payment processing flow article to check how the reservation statuses correspond to the automated emails, refer to the customer communication article
